Preserving and protecting the Cemetery

By FOMHC Team

“I am so deeply moved by this. What you have done and are doing is so important on very many levels. Not only does acknowledgment help us and future generations to comprehend our past (mistakes) and honor and value life, it is vital for the freeing of the memories and spirits of those in the past who were long forgotten.

How can we learn if we keep these major events and meaningful lives hidden?

The property is beautiful and the sculptures exquisite.

I spent many years researching and recovering the identities of paupers buried beneath 300 numbered graves. I am so pleased that people today can find their lost ancestors, filling in those missing branches from their family trees, and honor them. This dates back to 1870.

I wrote a historical novel to help share information about this missing link in our shared past.

I also raised funds to have a monument crafted and placed at the site so that they are no longer anonymous or forgotten.

Thank you so very much for what you have done. It pleases me and fills me with peace and joy.”
