JOB DESCRIPTION
The Treasurer is one of the principal officers of the Charity and, as a Committee member, is also a Trustee. In this role he/she oversees the income and expenditure of the Charity and advises the Committee on all financial matters.
Principal duties are as follows:
BANKING
- Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis
- Reconcile Paypal statements as required
CASH MGT
- Ensure cash donated by visitors is banked on a regular basis
- Maintain oversight of Petty Cash
REPORTING
- Prepare financial reports for monthly Committee meetings
- Prepare annual I & E statements for approval by Hon Auditor
- Present audited statements at AGM
ACCOUNTING
- Ensure all income and expenditure is categorised appropriately
- Maintain records of all Gift Aid donors
- Submit annual Gift Aid claim to the Inland Revenue
MISC
- Advise on the financial implications of any project
